Heritage Golu 2025 – “Steps of Tradition, Alive with Heritage”
Sri Venkateswara Public Sr. Sec. School-CBSE ,Puzhal celebrated Heritage Golu 2025 with the captivating theme “Steps of Tradition, Alive with Heritage.” The event beautifully blended culture, education, and creativity, transforming the campus into a living museum of India’s glorious past and its connection to modern life.
The initiative aimed to preserve history, explore anthropology, and highlight cultural evolution through an interactive and educational format. Each compartment, from Kindergarten to Senior Secondary, presented unique “Heritage Trails” that combined traditional displays with critical thinking prompts and hands-on experiences.
Kindergarten brought alive Village Life and Nature through displays of oil presses, bullock carts, traditional toys, and sensory exhibits. Curious questions like “How did children play before plastic toys?” inspired inquiry and reflection.
Pre-Primary showcased Festivals & Celebrations, engaging children with traditional games and festive corners that emphasized the spirit of sharing and joy.
Primary students explored Folklore and Epics through puppet displays and storytelling from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Panchatantra, sparking imagination and moral reflection.
Middle School delved into Anthropology and Civilizations, featuring miniature monuments, ancient artifacts, and an Augmented Reality temple tour, linking ancient craftsmanship to modern technology.
Senior Secondary students presented a Global Connect Stall, illustrating how traditional wisdom like Ayurveda and Gurukul learning has evolved into modern wellness and scientific thought. Visitors were invited to share their family customs on the symbolic “Heritage Tree.”
Adding a divine beginning to the celebrations, the sacred Aksharabhyasam Pooja was conducted on October 2nd at Bhaskara Hall for the new admission students and their parents. The ceremony marked the auspicious initiation into learning, invoking blessings for a lifetime of wisdom and knowledge.
