The “ Investiture Ceremony ” of Sri Venkateswara Public Sr. Sec. School for the academic year 2024-25 was commemorated in a grand manner on 24/07/2024 (Wednesday ).
The “Investiture Ceremony ” is one of the most important events of the school wherein the selected Student Senate is conferred of various responsibilities to exhibit their traits of Leadership, Communication , Decision making, Team work etc to contribute towards the excellence of the student community, bringing laurels to the school.
The prideful ceremony was witnessed by Chief guests, special guests, students from grade V – XII, teachers, and parents. The Chief Guests of the day were Honourable Correspondent of SVGS, Sri. Alagarsamy Kannan and Founder Principal Smt. Dr Uma Kannan. The special guests who graced the occasion were Smt. Preetha Abraham, Principal SVV and Smt. R. S. Geeta, Deputy Director SVPS and Principal, SVJS.
The guests were warmly welcomed to the dais with guard of honour, followed by prayer and welcome address by Smt. G Deepa, Principal SVPS. The School flags of SVGS and SVPS were unfurled by the Chief guests. A mind blogging welcome dance was performed by girls from Sr. Secondary compartment . House points were detailed by Smt Sumeetha Sunil, Vice – Principal, SVPS. “Indradhanu ” house was awarded the rolling trophy for their outstanding performance in the previous year. Later, the Chief guests unveiled the house points for the current year.
The newly elected Student Senate members, in their formal attire, marched to the dais for the bestowal of badges from the distinguished dignitaries. They took an oath to fulfil their duties to the best of their ability.
Students from Sr. Secondary educated their juniors on ‘Electoral Literacy to Empower Democracy ‘ to instil the spirit of democracy among children. The special guests of the day and Chief guest Smt. Dr Uma Kannan addressed the gathering with their words of wisdom. The special guests from sister concerns were felicitated by the Principal Smt. G. Deepa and Vice- Principal Smt. Sumeetha Sunil.
This student led ceremony, with students MCs and student panellists, came to an end with a vote of thanks followed by national anthem delivered by our students again.
