Webinar on the ‘Use of Digital Tools for Online Teaching’

The learning continuum at SVGS gained a fresh momentum with the webinar that was organized on 12^th June 2021 with our Board Members Mr. Deepak Kumar and Mrs. Kavya Kannamma at the United States refreshing educators with Digital Tools that aid Online teaching. With a prayer song rendered by Mrs. Deepika, SVNP, opening the session, Mrs. Ieline S Theophilus, Principal – SVV welcomed the gathering. A presentation ‘T2 Teachers’ by Mrs. Rekha, ACO-Primary, SVV, urged the teachers to shift from being a traditional teacher to a technical teacher. The SVNP team of techie teachers led by the Headmistress Mrs. Geeta, presented an engaging session on the ‘Rise of digital tools in online classes’ with the likes of Toy Theatre, PSchool, Read Aloud and Kahoot. The Guest for the Day, Board Member Mr. Deepak Kumar’s module was an exhilarating journey into the digital world for effective and safe engagement of our students. The Nano-technologist ensured that the tools were grade and age-relevant inorder to maximize student learning and overcome the prime challenge of sustaining children’s concentration. Our exuberant Board Member Mrs. Kavya Kannamma too joined him in guiding the educators to provide benign measures of learning making both teachers and students safe in their teaching-learning process. Not to be left out, our Creative Director & CEO Mrs. Dhanya Bharathi joined with great inputs on bringing in more learning applications especially for middle and high schoolers. Her subject-wise suggestions on digital tools were great resources for the educators while she constantly underlined the fact that the ‘teacher is the main tool with the digital tools as supplements’. The curtains were drawn with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Principal of SVM Mr. Venkatachalapathy.
