Sri Venkateswara Matric Higher Secondary School organized an educational field trip for the Middle School and High School students to Valluvar Kottam and the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust, providing them with a unique opportunity to learn beyond the classroom.
At Valluvar Kottam, students explored one of Tamil Nadu’s most celebrated cultural landmarks dedicated to the revered poet-saint Thiruvalluvar. The visit offered valuable insights into Tamil literature, heritage, and the timeless teachings of the Thirukkural. Students were fascinated by the architectural magnificence of the monument and gained a deeper appreciation for the richness of Tamil culture.
The excursion continued to the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust, where students observed a wide variety of crocodiles, alligators, turtles, and other reptile species. Through guided learning experiences, they developed a greater understanding of wildlife conservation, biodiversity, and the importance of protecting endangered species and their habitats.
The field trip was both educational and enjoyable, encouraging students to connect academic concepts with real-world experiences. It fostered curiosity, environmental awareness, and cultural appreciation while creating lasting memories with their peers and teachers.
